Author Rick Porrello's book, "Kill the Irishman," is a must-see! Just check out the lineup of actors: Christopher Walkin, Paul Sorvino, Val Kilmer, Tony Lo Bianco, for starters -- and you will see that this film is of the calibre of gangster genre not to be missed. Also, the star of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," Vincent D'Onofrio, employs his method acting, to create a character who is at once sympathetic and edgy. The title role of Danny Greene is played by Ray Stevenson, who gave this performance an intensity that is astonishing. When this movie ended, I commented that this is the type of film that they should have made about Dillinger instead of the Public Enemies movie that left everyone baffled.
Rick Porello, the author of the book, is a handsome gentleman himself who could have played a supporting role. He has written several books on the subject of Cleveland's organized crime. Check out Rick's long-term online "Zine," American Mafia.
